Hello all! I'm sorry I've been distant lately, its been one of those weeks.
Lets see….. Saturday my car got broken into. Luckily whoever did it didn't in through the window. The only thing taken was my GPS which was a pain in my butt anyway. Oh and some car chargers. So no worries! Then on top of that my grandmas husband passed away on Wednesday. He was 88. He lived a good life though. Looking at the bright side of things. Plus it was the first week back and thats always a struggle. Needless to say I've been riding the struggle bus this week.
Easter is next week and I'm not able to go home :( The good news is Sarah and I get to have our own Easter! We're making each other baskets as well as one for Tessa. I think we're also going to have our own little egg hunt! I can't want.
I hope you all have a wonderful next few days and don't ever take anything for granted. Think positive and stare at Josh Hutcherson…SO HOT and it makes things better.

What a wonderful week its been :)
Hi all!! Hope everyone is having a wonderful week. This has been my week so far: Well, like I said I got to spend time with Sarah and Tessa down in KC last weekend. Lots of clothes were bought! Monday through Wednesday there were no big plans but I did get a much needed hair cut from my favorite hairstylist ever! (She's the best!) and I got to see my other bestfriend Libby!! YAY! Wednesday night before I left, mom let me sleep in her bed. It was like I was nine years old again. It was great. Thursday I left…. On my way to Omaha to see Tessa and Sarah! Thursday night we went out to dinner and it was awesome! It was a Japanese Steakhouse where they cook in front of you… and yes I did catch the shrimp in my mouth. I know… I rock. Thursday night we also went to the premiere of THE HUNGER GAMES WITH KATHLEEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AHAHAHAHAHAHAH OMG SOOOOOOOOOOO EPIC!
It was by far one of the greatest movies I have ever seen. It was so true to the book which really made me happy. It was just so great, I can't put it into words. It was so brilliantly cast and so well put together. Oh and the sound track was sooooo good. I've listened to it like a billion times. SOOOOOO GOOD! It just fits the movie so well. Oh not to mention that both the boys are incredibly attractive. Dang…. If you haven't seen it, go now. LIKE SERIOUSLY!!!!NOW! You won't regret it unless you have no emotions and want me to hate you forever… cause I will.
On that note, I hope you're having a wonderful week and will have an even better weekend! Cheers to the weekend! I can't believe school starts again on Monday :(

Spring Break!!!! HOLLA
Hi all! Sorry I was away for a little bit. I had a chemistry test last thursday and this week starts my spring break. HOLLA! So far its been pretty great. My two best friends, Tessa and Sarah, were in town Saturday and Sunday and we went shopping! Boy was I happy… my wallet, maybe not so much. My mom and sister tagged along on sunday when we went down to the Legends. My mommy being the sweet person she is brought us all lunch at T-REX. It was great because Sarah LOVES dinosaurs… she was like a kid in a candy store. SO CUTE! My sister though wasn't very happy but I just told everyone to forget it… No one likes a Debby downer, no one. I'm so glad I got to spend time with them. :) I can't wait to spend the rest of the week with them either. Thursday can not come fast enough.
Here is my little ranting section… sorry it had to come at some point…
Here is my little ranting section… sorry it had to come at some point…
- I don't like people who overly complain. I understand everyone needs to complain, trust me I do it sometimes too, but when you overly complain its just annoying. stop. You don't have to complain about everything and you don't have to complain about it all the time. After awhile no one is listening and frankly no one cares… do us all the favor and stop because complaining about something is not going to fix whatever it is.
- I don't like hypocrites. End of story. I have nothing to say because talking about them just makes my skin crawl.
- I strongly dislike crabby or grumpy people. Don't bring everyone down with your pissy mood. Just don't. And if no one is forcing you to do something, don't be upset that you are doing it…. DUH. If you are crabby or grumpy with people around, put on a happy face to not be a Debby downer… Duh.
- I also strongly dislike people who think the world revolves around them. NEWSFLASH: IT DOESN'T. If I had to learn the world doesn't revolve around me then it surely doesn't revolve around you. Sorry, I just had to break the news to you.
Well thats all for now. I promise to write again soon and not have a rant. Until next time keep searching for those blessings.

The Good Stuff….
So this morning as I was getting ready, I listened to my country pandora station. It played The Good Stuff by Kenny Chesney, I thought... how fitting. Thus I'm going to make this post about about the good stuff.
Oh and meet Tyson…. :)
This is my church…. which has caused me to meet these next few people
This is John! He is my best friend, who I am trying to convince to come to college with me. He means the world to me and is like my little son.

This is Luke!!! He is quite special and quite the hipster if you ask me.
This is the Maynards (minus Connor) They are like my second family and I don't know what I would do without them!
I'm sure there will be more to come on these people! Now on to the next!

Hello World!
Hello World! I guess I should start off with a little bit about myself… Well for starters, My name is Paige Nicole Schmit (Welcome to my blog :)). I'm currently studying biology at the University of Nebraska! GBR! I'm a new member of Chi Omega and have met some of the greatest people here, but more on that later.
I'm new to this huge blogging thing so I apologize if its a little rough at first. For example, I can't seem to be able to edit my about me column… So I decided I'll let you know here (the extended version, of course).

- I personally don't think there are three constant words that describe me. I feel as if I'm a constantly different person everyday (and I don't mean it in an I'm a bipolar way). Its hard to explain. For instance, somedays I'm overly wild and crazy while the next I can be completely calm. Sometimes you need those days to just let loose, without a care in the world. I personally LOVE those days.
- I've discovered I have a HUGE LOVE for traveling. So far in my life I've been to Mexico (and no, it wasn't for a spring break trip), Jamaica, the Grand Cayman Islands, Belize, and Berlin! Not only have I had the best experiences of my life, I also had the opportunity to meet amazing people with even more amazing stories. I can't say how grateful I am to have been able to have these experiences in my life. This summer I'm traveling to Haiti to help in the earthquake efforts… I can't want to see what is in store for me. MY WORDS OF WISDOM FOR YOU, MY FRIEND: LIFE IS AN ADVENTURE….. GO DO, GO EXPLORE!
- My family is everything to me. Without them I don't know what I would be doing right now with my life. Nor do I know what would have become of me. While yes, we do have our disagreements and are by no means perfect… in my eyes I have the best, the most perfect family someone could ask for. I have a strongly devoted mother, one whom I love very much. She is my rock but sometimes I'll admit, I want to throw that rock at her… I have never seen someone so devoted to everything she does (We're actually trying to teach her the word no…she'll catch on). Then there is my father. The one and only constant man in my life. We are quite similar which doesn't really work out the best for us. We have a lot of ups and downs (mostly downs) but that by no means says I don't love him. With this year being my first year all on my own, I've actually come to appreciate him a lot more. I also have an older sister, Courtney, who is completely the opposite from me. Night and Day as my mom likes to call us. Although we have our differences and rarely see eye to eye on any subject, I still love her and value her opinion…sometimes. We're always going to be there for each other that I know. We also have a horse…. his name is Tyson and he is my puppy Saint Bernard. Well to be honest he isn't really a puppy and probably weighs a lot more than I do. He is the perfect size to rest his head on the dinning room table and boy does he know it. It makes for some pretty interesting dinners as Dad doesn't approve! We spoil him rotten by giving him chicken and ham and my mothers breakfast everyday (this is on top of his dog food)! He also sometimes gets two walks a day!
- In college, I'm trying to find out for sure who exactly I am. I've come in, like everyone else, with an idea of who I think I am and who exactly I want to be. In all honesty, I think its a bunch of bologna if people don't think they are going to change in college or know 100% of who they are and who they want to be. You don't! College is a time for change, to meet the people that are going to test you to be the best you can be, who can be real with you. Its a time to stand up for what you believe in and to found out what that actually is. Its a time to make a few mistakes (reasonable ones) and learn from them! That is what life is about! Thats how you discover and know who you are.
Thats a little about me. I'm sure we're going to get to know each other a lot more over the years.
I'd also like to explain why my blog is called what it is. I was in a musical my eighth grade year called Help Wanted. It was written by a friend of mine named Kathy Burdette, someone who I personally admire and stave to be like. She co-wrote (or wrote, not quite sure) a song called Everyday Miracles. In this song, she explains how the simplest of blessings that happen everyday are often over looked. Those simplest of blessings you miss everyday are everyday miracles. For some reason, its just sticked.
"In the simplest of blessings you miss everyday, You can capture a glimpse of God's grace."
What I want you to do is find those everyday miracles, those simplest of blessings… Until you see how blessed you are on a day to day basis, you never know how truly blessed you are. Until next time my friends ...
